Overview

The Mayo Clinic Echocardiography Laboratory is a large facility, performing approximately 250 echocardiographic and Doppler hemodynamic studies per day. This includes about 35 stress echocardiograms and 20 to 25 transesophageal echocardiograms. We have a large clinical cardiology training program, a School of Cardiovascular Ultrasound, and sponsor about 10 echocardiography meetings around the world. We also have a large research initiative. We publish about 70 manuscripts per year and have 10 to 30 research fellows involved with basic translational and clinical research. We require that individuals have completed a Cardiology Fellowship and can commit at least one full year to research.

We have a superb faculty and training program, spearheading research in all aspects of echocardiography.
