High resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy of biological systems.

Specific areas of study include:

Multi-dimensional NMR of biomolecules

  • determination of 3D structure of polypeptides and small proteins in solution
  • techniques for separation of structural and dynamical parameters and structure refinement
  • NMR study of internal mobility of proteins

In vivo NMR spectroscopy

  • 1H, 31P and 13C spectroscopy of metabolites in vivo

NMR microscopy

  • volume selective spectroscopy of small laboratory animals
