Transcriptomics and Epigenetic Mechanisms of Chronic PainChronic pain may be (co-)determined by alterations in chromatin structure, gene expression, and RNA-processing in key sites in the nervous system involved in sensory information processing such as the dorsal root ganglia (DRG). Pain may in the future be conceptualized as activity-dependent alteration in neural gene expression amenable to transcription therapy. Please, have a look at our study "mRNA-seq with agnostic splice site discovery for nervous system transcriptomics tested in chronic pain," which was published in Genome Research on May 7, 2010. |
