Cytogenetics CoreThe Mayo Clinic Cytogenetics Core serves as a shared resource within the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center. The Cytogenetics Core provides routine cytogenetic and advanced molecular cytogenetic services on human and nonhuman samples. Through the Cytogenetics Core, Mayo Clinic Cancer Center members have access to a wide range of cytogenetics-related services, technologies and guidance to help them study the genetics of different types of cancer. Services offered by the Cytogenetics Core include cell culture, routine cytogenetic analysis, interphase and metaphase DNA and RNA fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), spectral karyotyping analysis of human and mouse metaphases, and homebrew FISH probe production. |
