Overview

The twofold mission of the Cell Biology Program of the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center is to:

• Define the molecular and cellular basis of neoplastic transformation, growth and metastasis.
• Provide insights into normal and aberrant functions of genetic lesions.

The Cell Biology Program focuses on four areas of research:

• Transcription, chromatin and epigenetics of cancer
• Mitosis, senescence and aging
• Cell signaling and receptor/membrane traffic
• Cell adhesion, migration and metastasis
