Projects

The work of Dr. Talwalkar and his team focuses on identifying effective treatments for major clinical issues surrounding the management of chronic cholestatic liver disease. The lab currently has ongoing clinical trials for primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC), and takes the lead in both the development of future clinical trials and diagnostic tests.

Current projects include studying changes in liver tests, liver function and symptoms and assessing potential beneficial effects of investigational drugs.
