Disease Severity Reporting

Hospitals with comprehensive electronic medical records have access to all of the information needed to automatically calculate Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE) and other disease severity scores. Compared with manual data entry, using computer systems to automatically calculate the APACHE score is expected to increase reliability and save time.

The goal of this project is to use Mayo Clinic's infrastructure to build, scientifically validate and implement a number of calculation and reporting systems in intensive care units.
