Nanoparticle targeting of tumor tissues

In collaboration with other researchers, we are exploring the ability of gold nanoparticles to act as molecular targeted agents for imaging/detecting small tumors and treating cancers. We have conjugated monoclonal antibodies that targeted specific cancers to demonstrate that antibody/nanoparticle complex binds and is engulfed by breast cancer cells.
