Fig. 22-11

Spatial (3-D) distribution of neuronal PAC1-receptor-LI-IR (B) on a guinea pig IMG neuron. The IMG neuron was intracellularly injected with Lucifer Yellow and the preparation was subsequently immunostained with appropriate antibodies visualized with Cy5 fluorescent dyes (here colored yellow). The preparation was imaged using a confocal microscope. The image was volume reconstructed and superimposed using ANALYZE software. Voxel counting revealed that the majority (66.7 4.9%, n = 7 neurons) of PAC1-receptor-like-IR) were distributed along secondary and tertiary dendrites of IMG neurons (colored grey).
