Photo of Neill R Graff-Radford M.D.

Neill R. Graff-Radford, M.D. graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 1973, obtained his MRCP (UK) (Board Certification in Internal Medicine) in 1977 and moved to the United States in 1978. He completed a Neurology Residency at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver, and a fellowship in Behavioral Neurology with Dr. Damasio in Iowa, where he stayed on the faculty for 7 years. He has been at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville for 16 years and was promoted to full Professor at Mayo College of Medicine in 1994. He served as Chair of the Department of Neurology for 10 years and retired from this position in 2004. He is the Principal Investigator on Jacksonville’s component of the Mayo Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. At present he has over $4 million of external research funding. He has published over 125 papers and chapters as well as more than 125 abstracts. Present areas of research include Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
