Policy:

It is the policy of Mayo Clinic's Office for Human Research Protection – Institutional Review Board (IRB) – to require that Investigators must comply with all state and local laws regarding the use of medical records for research purposes, including the Minnesota Research Authorization Statute.

  1. Health records maintained by Mayo Clinic Rochester or another Minnesota provider may be used for research purposes only if the investigator has confirmed that the records are available for research in accordance with the Minnesota Research Authorization Statute. [1]
