Overview

Research in ethics explores fundamental questions of what ought to be done in the context of new medical technologies and the changing health care environment. Barbara Koenig’s research focuses on three key areas of inquiry: genomics and personalized medicine; end-of-life care; and human subjects research. Her research is both empirical and normative in nature, combining qualitative data methods with theoretical inquiry.
