Other Activities - Bioethics Book Group. Dr. Koenig has founded an informal book group that meets quarterly to discuss a bioethics-related book in the popular press. If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Marguerite Robinson at robinson.marguerite@mayo.edu.
- Oscar M. Ruebhausen Visiting Professorship. The Greenwall Foundation granted Dr. Koenig, along with Jeffrey Kahn and Susan Wolf from the University of Minnesota, its Oscar M. Ruebhausen Visiting Professorship award for a proposal to bring Zach Hall, President and Chief Scientific Officer of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, to Minnesota. Dr. Hall will be visiting UMN Oct 8-9 and Mayo Oct 10-11, 2007. His activities will be coordinated by the Center for Bioethics at University of Minnesota, the Consortium on Law and Values in Health, Environment and the Life Sciences at the University of Minnesota, and the Biomedical Ethics Research Program at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Hall will also be giving the Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on October 10, 2007.
