  • Bioethics Book Group. Dr. Koenig has founded an informal book group that meets quarterly to discuss a bioethics-related book in the popular press. If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Marguerite Robinson at robinson.marguerite@mayo.edu.
  • Oscar M. Ruebhausen Visiting Professorship. The Greenwall Foundation granted Dr. Koenig, along with Jeffrey Kahn and Susan Wolf from the University of Minnesota, its Oscar M. Ruebhausen Visiting Professorship award for a proposal to bring Zach Hall, President and Chief Scientific Officer of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, to Minnesota. In October 2007, Dr. Hall gave a public lecture at the University of Minnesota, Department of Medicine Grand Rounds at Mayo Clinic, and participated in a public panel discussion at the University of Minnesota Rochester.

    His activities were coordinated by the Center for Bioethics at the University of Minnesota; the Consortium on Law and Values in Health, Environment and Life Sciences at the University of Minnesota; the Program for Professionalism and Bioethics at Mayo Clinic; University Center Rochester; and University of Minnesota Rochester.
