Dr. Kumar's laboratory conducts basic science and translational research in the following areas:
- Bone and Mineral Physiology in Health and Disease
- Regulation of blood pressure and vascular remodeling
- Understanding the modulation of immune tolerance, dendritic cell function and cellular growth by 1a,25-dihydroxyvitamin D. 1a,25-dihydroxyvitamin D inhibits cell growth and alters apoptosis
- Study of renal disease in diabetes mellitus and polycystic kidney disease
