OVERVIEW

Our program focuses on clinical trials in liver diseases including primary biliary cirrhosis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. Our work focuses on ways to optimize the diagnosis of these conditions as well as the the medical management of these diseases and their complications.

ABOUT DR. LINDOR

Keith Lindor, M.D. is Professor of Medicine and Chair of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. Doctor Lindor received a Bachelor’s of Chemistry degree from the University of Minnesota and his MD degree from Mayo Medical School. Following this, he was a resident in internal medicine at Bowman Grey School of Medicine of Wake Forest University. Before starting his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Mayo, he served a year in the Indian Health Service in Southern Arizona.

Doctor Lindor’s interests include cholestatic liver diseases in adults, particularly primary biliary cirrhosis and primary sclerosing cholangitis as well as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. The focus of his research work is primarily on clinical trials and means of optimizing the medical management of patients with these disorders.

Doctor Lindor serves as the Senior Associate Editor for Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is on the editorial board of Gastroenterology and Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology. He has served on numerous committees for the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, is on the Board of Directors and currently is the Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs of the American Liver Foundation.
