CLINICAL TRIALSSildenafil for Erectile DysfunctionDouble-Blind, Randomized, Placebo Controlled Trial of Sildenafil for the Treatment of Erectile Dysfunction in Patients with Cirrhosis IRB Number : Trial Status : Open for Enrollment Phase: IV Why is this study being done? Sildenafil is phosphodiesterase inhibitor approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. However, the safety and efficacy of sildenafil in patients with cirrhosis and portal hypertension remains unknown. Positive results are anticipated to result in a novel therapy for eretcile dysfunction which is a common problem and negative influence on health-related quality of life in patients with cirrhosis.
