The Mayo Clinic Mitochondrial Disease Biobank participated in the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation’s annual symposium, "Mitochondrial Medicine 2010."
The event, held in Scottsdale, Ariz., brought together researchers and physicians who specialize in mitochondrial disorders with individuals affected by these diseases.
At the UMDF symposium, Devin Oglesbee, Ph.D., co-Director of Mayo Clinic's Biochemical Genetics Laboratory and the Mayo Clinic Mitochondrial Disease Biobank, participated in the panel discussion "Hot Topics in Mitochondrial Disease."
In addition, with the help of phlebotomists from Mayo Clinic in Arizona, Biobank staff were able to provide complete Biobank enrollment at the conference.
