Nanomedicine and Materials Science - Priyabrata Mukherjee

Overview

The current focus of our research lab includes understanding the basic molecular interactions between nanomaterials and cells from the standpoint of cancer therapeutics.

This is a highly interdisciplinary field where chemists, physicists, biologists, materials scientists and clinicians work together to utilize the benefit of nanatechnology in human health care.

Our laboratory is primarily supported by Federal Funds from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Cancer Institute (NCI).

Dr. Mukherjee also serves on the editorial board of several peer-reviewed journals and NIH study sections.
