PostDoc OpportunitiesDepartment of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Employer: Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic Arizona. A post-doctoral position is available to study novel immunotherapeutic strategies in pancreatic cancer with MUC1 as one of the antigenic target of interest. The successful candidate will have experience in transgenic and knock out mouse models, immunology and immunotherapeutic strategies. Role of inflammation associated immune suppression and study of the tumor microenvironment will be a major focus. This will include studying the role of cyclooxygenase-2 and indoleamine 2,3 dioxygenase-related immune modulation. He/She should be highly motivated with excellent oral and written communication skills. Maximum consideration will be given to candidates with first author publication. Mayo Clinic is a non-profit organization that integrates research with clinical practice and education. Funding for this position is provided through a five-year research grant from the National Institutes of Health. |
