Mayo Clinic's Nicotine Dependence Center (NDC), established in 1988, has treated more than 40,000 patients for tobacco dependence, and has an active research program studying innovative behavior and pharmacological approaches for the treatment of tobacco dependence. The NDC brings its comprehensive experience to educational programs oriented toward healthcare professionals who are interested in incorporating nicotine dependence treatment into their practice and/or developing a service to meet the needs of tobacco dependent patients. Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, psychologists, chemical dependency counselors, respiratory therapists, nurses, social workers, and other allied health professionals will find these offerings of interest. The NDC Education program provides a reliable source for the most up-to-date, evidence based information on the best practices in tobacco dependence treatment.
This is an opportunity for Tobacco Treatment Specialists and other health-care practitioners who are interested in educational sessions via webcasts.
