Distance Educational Offerings

Provided by the Mayo Clinic Nicotine Education Program.

This is an opportunity for Tobacco Treatment Specialists, Wellness Coaches, and other health care practitioners who are interested in educational sessions at a distance.

Creativity and Curiosity is an online mini course utilizing Blackboard Learn. There are no prerequisites or special criteria for participants, and it can be accessed on a Windows or Macintosh computer.

The course is designed for people who work with clients and patients for health behavior change. It will explore the work of Martin E.P. Seligman, Ph.D., director of the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania and founder of positive psychology. The course entails reading two brief articles and visiting Dr. Seligman’s website. Completing a brief quiz will confirm your eligibility to receive a Continuing Education Hours (CEH) certificate.

Continuing Education Hours

2 hours toward recertification for Mayo Clinic Wellness Coaches, and 1.0 hours CEH toward recertification for Mayo Clinic Tobacco Treatment Specialists.
