Mission

The Analytical NMR Facility exists to assist Mayo investigators with applications of high-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to biochemical and biological systems. The facility contains high-field state-of-the-art NMR spectrometers for data acquisition, computers for NMR data analysis and a fully equipped wet laboratory for sample preparation.

The facility is staffed by experts in various fields of NMR experimentation who carry out core research and development, and spend part of their time consulting with and training users.
In addition to data collection, processing and analysis of NMR data, the NMR facility provides Mayo investigators with the following services:

• Sample preparation (small molecules, peptides or DNA)
• Protein overexpression
• Uniform or partial isotope enrichment of proteins
• Protein purification
• Protein NMR sample preparation
