In Vitro and In Vivo Studies of New and Investigational Antimicrobial Agents

Our laboratory has a long history of in vitro and in vivo investigations of antimicrobial strategies. Recently, we have evaluated linezolid in an experimental rat model of experimental osteomyelitis. We have recently demonstrated activity of electrical current against microbial biofilms both in vitro and in vivo, a phenomenon we have labeled the "electricidal effect".
