Molecular Genetics and Proteomics Core

The Molecular Genetics and Proteomics Core provides PKD-related genetic services to investigators worldwide in support of research and clinical trials related to autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD).

Core services include:

• Mutation screening of PKD1 and PKD2 by direct sequencing to characterize both large autosomal dominant PKD (ADPKD) populations and patient-derived cell lines
• Sample collection, mutation screening, linkage analysis and gene discovery to facilitate the study of atypical ADPKD patients
• Collection, fractionation and storage of urine samples from Mayo Clinic patients for future biomarker analysis
