Postdoctoral Position - Department of Immunology

The Vaccine Research Group at Mayo Clinic Rochester seeks a postdoctoral fellow to join a highly successful research team to study the genetics of immune responses to vaccines and research related to Biodefense vaccines. Projects include studies on smallpox, measles, rubella, influenza and other viral vaccines. Requirements for the position include 1) a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with significant past laboratory research experience, 2) a keen interest in vaccine and Biodefense research. Individuals with a strong background in molecular biology, genetics, immunology or virology are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants must have a good publication record demonstrating his or her creativity, expertise and productivity in the areas specified. Applicants should also have good communication skills and the ability to work as a part of a team. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to be self-directed, highly motivated and productive, and the ability to work well in a team environment. The period of the appointment is negotiable, but funding is presently available for two years.
