Summary

Dr. Ames' research is focused on tobacco control, particularly the design of more effective smoking cessation interventions for particularly at-risk populations including young adults, medical patients, the uninsured, and low-income individuals.

Additionally, Dr. Ames has ongoing research which seeks to develop new approaches to enhance the quality of life of cancer patients and help these individuals cope with their illness.
