Clinical Profile

Summary

My primary research interests are cancers of the genito-urinary tract. One of my research efforts has been how to develop an individualized management plan (definitive treatment vs. active surveillance) on the basis of tumor characteristics for patients with early prostate cancer. Another area of my focus is how to optimize the treatment of recurrent prostate cancer following surgery. One such effort is integrating other treatment modalities with radiotherapy to make radiotherapy more efficacious. These efforts usually entail developing, conducting, and analyzing clinical studies. These studies are often done in collaboration with other medical institutions across the country.
