SummaryMy research has focused on psychological factors that influence health and health behaviors. Specifically, I am interested in psychosocial aspects of weight loss surgery, obesity, and physical activity, especially those that predict outcome or influence adherence to medical recommendations. I am currently involved in a retrospective review of several hundred patients who have undergone weight loss surgery, examining pre-existing psychological factors that may be related to weight outcome. I am particularly interested in the impact of weight loss and behavioral weight management programs on long term outcome for weight loss surgery patients. Additionally, I have an interest in personality factors that influence cardiac health. Recent publicationsEducation
