Erik Hess, M.D., is an emergency medicine physician and health services reseacher with an interest in emergency cardiovascular care.

Topically, Dr.Hess' research focuses on the diagnosis of acute heart disease, particularly acute myocardial infarction and the evaluation of possible acute coronary syndromes.

He also has an interest in clinical research methodology, particularly the development and validation of clinical prediction rules and the development and testing of patient-centered, shared decision making approaches to care in the acute setting.
