SummaryMy primary research interests include the study of lower extremity biomechanics and gait mechanics during walking. Regarding lower extremity biomechanics, my studies focus on the relationships between hip, knee and foot/ankle biomechanics during weightbearing activities. In particular, I study how hip muscle function influences the pathomechanics that may lead to lower extremity injury such as to the anterior cruciate ligament and to the patellofemoral joint. Regarding gait mechanics, my studies focus on quantifying gait instability in various patient populations and understanding how gait instability influences fall risk. Recent publicationsEducation
