Clinical Profile

Summary

Dr Kumar's research primarily relates to molecular mechanisms of development of childhood obesity. Her laboratory is currently looking at factors that influence adipogenesis in children. Dr Kumar's clinical interests and research focus on various modalities of treatment of childhood obesity. She has particular interest in the efficacy and long term consequences of phamacological therapy and bariatric surgery in adolescents.
