Summary

Robert Orenstein, D.O., has extensive experience in conducting clinical trials of antimicrobials and antiretroviral agents.

His work at Mayo Clinic in Rochester is focused on the surveillance, epidemiology and prevention of health care associated infections, including Clostridium difficile infection and urinary tract infections.

Currently, Dr. Orenstein's team is studying several new therapeutic agents for management of Clostridium difficile infection and the role of the human endogenous microbiota in the management of multiple drug-resistant infections.
