SummaryWe are interested in the cytogenetics of malignant lymphoma, particularly low grade B-cell lymphomas. We have extensive experience building and utilizing fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) probes on fresh and paraffin-embedded tissues to study the incidence, anatomic site and tumor type specificity, and prognostic value of a number of different balanced chromosomal translocations. We also have been successful in karyotyping low grade B-cell lymphomas and have identified several novel balanced chromosomal translocations. In the course of our studies we have collaborated with the Division of Experimental Pathology, the Division of Laboratory Genetics, and the Division of Hematology.
