SummaryOur research involves both prospective and retrospective investigation of various medical stabilization and interventional revascularization approaches in the treatment of acute coronary syndromes, with special emphasis on the interaction of diabetes mellitus on outcome.
In addition, along with the Center for Coronary Physiology and Imaging, we are actively involved in the prospective assessment of novel methods of revascularization and symptom control in patients with chronic ischemic coronary disease. Recent initiatives have included mechanistic evaluation of these modalities and their effect on cardiac and vascular physiology in the intact human.
Finally, in association with the Mayo Alliance for Clinical Trials (Mayo ACT), we are involved in clinical trial design and conduct, particularly in relation to patient safety issues and clinical events reporting and adjudication. Recent publicationsEducation
