Summary

My program of research centers on symptom management in cancer survivors. Effective management of short- and long-term sequelae of the disease and treatment is the objective of this research. My research has focused on hot flash management for breast cancer survivors and is more recently focusing on issues of sexuality, cognitive function, and fatigue. In addition, my program of research includes studying herbal remedies for these symptoms. This research is part of the cancer control program for the North Central Cancer Treatment Group, a cooperative group research program involving over 20 sites in the United States, funded by the National Cancer Institute.
