SummaryMy research interests are directed toward a better understanding of the relationship between the patient and physician. As the clinical relationship is the context in which all care is delivered, a thorough understanding of its dynamics is essential to achieving the outcomes anticipated from biomedical intervention. I lead the Physician-Patient Interaction Research Interest Group in the Division of General Internal Medicine which provides a forum for hypothesis generation, protocol review, and discussion.
