1. Measuring the amyloid protein in the blood to see if it predicts some of the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease (AD)

3. Standardizing neuropsychological tests in African Americans who went to school in the South
4. Finding genes that may prevent AD
5. The clinical and radiological features of frontotemporal dementia
6. Using non steroidal antiinflammatories in treatment of AD
7. The clinical and pathological features of Lewy Body disease
8. Finding the best way to manage patients with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus

I am part of the Mayo Alzheimer's Disease Center, two RO1 grants, and 1 program project grant. I also am involved in the Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Study group which is funded by the NIH to find non-propriety medications to treat AD. I am the medical director of the Mayo Memory
