Summary

I am interested in knowledge management, specifically the systems and processes used by libraries to acquire, organize, store, access, retrieve, teach, and disseminate knowledge and information in all formats, digital and traditional. I am interested in scientific scholarly publishing and the changing technological environment in which scientists and physicians create and use the published scientific record. I am also interested in how the process of publishing, literature retrieval and evaluation, and evidence-based decision making can be effectively taught to students in the sciences and medicine. I am interested in the concept of the "informationist" or "embedded analyst" working directly with clinical or research teams as an expert searcher and organizer of knowledge for the team's use.
