SummaryI am interested in knowledge management, specifically the systems and processes used by libraries to acquire, organize, store, access, retrieve, teach, and disseminate knowledge and information in all formats, digital and traditional. I am interested in scientific scholarly publishing and the changing technological environment in which scientists and physicians create and use the published scientific record. I am also interested in how the process of publishing, literature retrieval and evaluation, and evidence-based decision making can be effectively taught to students in the sciences and medicine. I am interested in the concept of the "informationist" or "embedded analyst" working directly with clinical or research teams as an expert searcher and organizer of knowledge for the team's use.
