Summary
I am involved with research in advanced communications such as ATM, SONET and encryption of data over these links. Parallel with this is the development of telemedicine in cardiovascular disease such as "store and forward" technology. I am also interested in the development of electronic medical records. Through the Stroke Center, we are identifying putative risk factors for stroke and embolic events in relation to cardiovascular risk factors. These epidemiologic studies are funded by NINDS. Finally with Men?s Heath Center we are exploring the effects of Sildenafil Citrate and vascular function. Engaged in research on myocardial mechanics using ultrasound and, effect of testosterone deficiency on the heart in collaboration with Sreekumar Nair Obesity and, the heart and, sleep apnoea and heart in collaboration with Virend SomersRecent publicationsEducation
