SummaryCardiopulmonary interactions in human congestive heart failure Ongoing extramurally funded studies of human subjects with congestive heart failure include separate projects evaluating ventilatory control during exercise and sleep, as well as studies of pulmonary mechanics during exercise. Studies are carried out in GCRC core facilities including the exercise laboratory and the sleep laboratory. Collaborators include Bruce D. Johnson, PhD, and Virend K. Somers, MD, PhD.
