My research programs combines cutting edge molecualr cardiology tools to population sciences methodology to understand determinants of diseases and their outcomes in large scale population studies.

Current studies include:

Epidemiology of heart failure
Epidemiology of coronary disease
Myocardial damage and left ventricualr remodeling after myocardial infarction in the population

Other areas of interest and ongoing research include that of patterns of practice in large population and the link between the delivery of care and outcomes.

My research is funded by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health and by an Established Investigator Grant of the American Heart Association.
