Summary

My research is focused in three main areas:

  • Epidemiology of coronary disease and heart failure
  • Outcomes research
  • Heart disease in women

My research program uses population sciences methodology to understand determinants of diseases and their outcomes in large scale population studies.

Current studies include:

  • Epidemiology and outcome of heart failure
  • Epidemiology and outcome of coronary disease
  • Patterns of practice and its link with outcomes

My research is funded by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association.
