SummaryMy areas of clinical and research interests include diagnosis and treatment of Barrett esophagus and esophageal cancer, and gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD). My research is involved with endoscopic treatment of Barrett esophagus, esophageal dysplasia and early esophageal cancer. I have been the lead investigator for a new endoscopic treatment for the ablation of Barrett esophagus and dysplasia in the hopes of preventing its progression to esophageal cancer. I am currently involved in a multicenter trial that involves the three Mayo sites and other University sites looking at the efficacy of this technology in treating patients with Barrett esophagus and dysplasia. I am also involved with esophageal cancer chemoprevention trials using aspirin and an upcoming Barrett treatment trial. The trials are being conducted through the Mayo Clinic Cancer Prevention Network. I am also involved with Mayo Clinic Esophageal Adenocarcinoma and Barrett Esophagus registry that is a multi-site registry based out of Mayo Clinic Rochester. I am also involved with newer endoscopic and medical therapies for GERD. Recent publicationsSee a listing of my publications Education
