Summary1. Responsive Neurostimulation for Intractable Focal Epilepsy - a small computer chip is implanted in the skull and connected to a lead in the brain near the site of origin of the seizures. The stimulator can detect the onset of seizure activity and then delever a stimulus to abort the seizure. This is a clinical trial available at all Mayo sites (Jacksonville, Scottsdale, Rochester).
