SummaryI am interested in research which may have fairly immediate clinical application in improving the mental health care of our patients. Currently I am involved in testing and developing collaborative models of care with primary care, and in developing and refining our use of screening instruments (the PHQ-9, MDQ, etc). I have a background in Cultural Psychiatry and am in the early stages of developing projects for underserved minority groups.
I have an interest in the interface between primary care and mental health. I also am interested in projects on depression, prevention in psychiatry, on meaningful outcome measures for mental health outpatient treatment, and on population-based approaches to mental health issues. I am also involved in a project on the genomics of depression and response to an antidepressant. Recent publicationsSee a listing of my publications Education
