Past Funding CyclesDuring its first two funding cycles (1998-2002; 2002-2007) the Mayo Clinic TBIMS established a national reputation for rigorous clinical research concerning epidemiology, practice management models, treatment outcomes, and community participation of individuals recovering from TBI, their families and significant others. NIDRR-supported research at Mayo Clinic has produced dozens of publications and national presentations, bringing to prominence Mayo Clinic’s status as a nationally recognized Brain Rehabilitation Center. The Mayo Clinic TBIMS has consistently achieved program goals and objectives in the major activity areas of research, clinical practice, program operation, collaboration, and dissemination. The Mayo Clinic TBIMS is now even better positioned to continue making substantial contributions to the field of brain injury research and clinical care focused on the needs of the individual with TBI, their families and significant others as directed by the NIDRR priorities. |
