Summary

The primary objectives of this training program are:

1. To train graduate students for Ph.D. degrees with an emphasis on TMA research
2. To train postdoctoral scientists with backgrounds in basic science or clinical experience in the area of TMA research

Trainees benefit from frequent interactions with the local community of scientists and clinicians involved in cancer research, providing them with a broad orientation to topics related to:

• Cancer biology
• Early cancer detection (biomarkers, imaging)
• Cancer pathology
• Clinical cancer treatment research
• Cancer prevention and control research
• Translational research

Eligibility

Predoctoral appointees must have received a baccalaureate degree by the beginning date of their NRSA appointment, and be enrolled in Mayo's program leading to a Ph.D. in science.

Postdoctoral appointees must have received, as of the beginning date of the NRSA appointment, a Ph.D., M.D. or comparable doctoral degree. Appointees must also be a citizen or non-citizen national of the United States or must have been legally admitted as a permanent resident.
