Genetic Studies of Cardiac Hypertrophy

The lab aims to study molecular mechanisms of human cardiomyopathy using zebrafish genetics. We are generating several cardiac hypertrophy models in zebrafish by using various genetic tools such as mutagenesis screening, transgenic technology, and small-molecule treatment. Our ultimate goal is to perform modifier screens using these zebrafish models to search for novel therapies for human cardiomyopathy.
