Monitoring of Cellular Oxidative Stress

Oxidative Stress is an imbalance between pro- and anti-oxidants. Increased oxidative stress has been suggested to play a role in many cell functions (from differentiation to viability) after stem cells are transplanted to the living subject. Thus it becomes critical to develop ways to assess oxidative stress after transplantation to the living subject. The objective of this project is to develop novel molecular imaging modalities to monitor cellular oxidative stress non-invasively.
